Robert A. St.Genis
Robert’s professional career has long been in various forms of marketing and sales, most of his career as an entrepreneur, twice owning small businesses of his own. He has volunteered in many political and charitable efforts over the years. He has served on fundraising committees for Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Equality California, United Negro College Fund and others. His has incorporated his marketing and sales positions in efforts supporting objectives of Inland AIDS Project, Desert AIDS Project, Palm Springs Desert Museum and more. He has served as a Board Member of the Desert Business Association and was appointed a Human Relations Commissioner in the City of Riverside. He decided to make his passion for politics and charity in 2009, starting by taking Ethics training for the City of Los Angeles and attending the Campaign and Candidate Training for the Gay and Lesbian Leadership Institute. Connections made through the training lead Robert to become Campaign Manager for Mayor Mitch Ward (Manhattan Beach) run for California State Assembly. When the campaign concluded, Robert approached Gail and Virginia about helping them with expanding their fundraising efforts. Robert is most excited to be working with such trailblazers and is optimistic that despite these tough economic times, Friends of Project 10 can expand its scholarship program.
