Model Workshop For Staff Development

Many inquiries have been made as to the method of conducting a workshop on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth Issues for a group of school administrators, counselors, or teachers or some similar group. This model can be adapted to fit a half day, full day, or two day module.

OUTLINE

OBJECTIVES:
To present and exchange accurate unbiased information about homosexuality as reflected in current sociological and psychological literature.
To provide an opportunity to share and learn about the special issues of LGBT youth and to discuss strategies for addressing them.
To prepare participants to bring about change in their own educational environment.
